Recovery In Action

King County Behavioral Health Legislative Forum Pre-Event

Recovery In Action is a community gathering held immediately before the King County Behavioral Health Legislative Forum.

Hosted by the Washington Recovery Alliance, the event brings together people with lived experience, family members, peer professionals, behavioral health providers, community organizations, local leaders, and partners from across King County.

Join us for an opportunity to connect with others, learn about recovery efforts happening throughout the region, and celebrate the people and communities helping move behavioral health recovery forward.

Recovery In Action creates an informal and welcoming space for conversation, relationship-building, and community connection before the evening’s Legislative Forum begins.

What to Expect

Attendees will have an opportunity to:

• Connect with members of King County’s recovery and behavioral health community

• Meet local organizations, peers, service providers, and community leaders

• Learn about recovery resources and community-based efforts

• Build relationships before the Legislative Forum

• Celebrate the strength, leadership, and diversity of the recovery community

King County Behavioral Health Legislative Forum

Following Recovery In Action, attendees are invited to remain for the King County Behavioral Health Legislative Forum from 6:00–8:30 p.m.

The Legislative Forum brings together community members, people with lived experience, behavioral health providers, elected officials, and system leaders to hear recovery stories, learn about community priorities, and discuss behavioral health needs throughout King County.

Who Should Attend

Recovery In Action is open to:

• People with lived experience of mental health or substance use recovery

• Family members and supportive community members

• Peer support professionals

• Behavioral health service providers

• Recovery community organizations

• Community leaders and partners

You do not need to work in behavioral health or be affiliated with an organization to participate.

Transportation and Parking

The event will be held at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center in SeaTac.
