About KCRC
Who We Are
The King County Recovery Coalition (KCRC) is a regional coalition of the Washington Recovery Alliance. We advance substance use recovery and mental wellness by changing public understanding of behavioral health conditions and advocating for pro-recovery policies in King County. We mobilize people like you to drive change in behavioral health public policy – because we do recover, and we are the proof.

What We Do
We mobilize people like you to raise awareness, change misconceptions, and drive change in behavioral health public policy – because we do recover, and we are the proof.
How we do it: KCRC hosts community events that bring the lived experiences of people in recovery straight to decision makers. We promote pro-recovery media stories that foster public understanding of behavioral health, teach people how to tell their own stories of recovery, and create connections among individuals and organizations that strengthen the recovery community as a whole. We host guest speakers on topics ranging from recovery coaching to the role of local government in behavioral health systems, because information is a powerful tool for grassroots advocacy. Last but not least, we celebrate recovery, together.
When you join the movement with KCRC, you’ll have the opportunity to network, strengthen your community, use your recovery experience to help others, and provide valuable real-life input to people who make policy decisions that impact us.
